Industry Standards Do's & Don'ts with Incense

If you enjoy the smell of burning incense, try burning it in your living room or another well-ventilated area instead. You can also use an oil diffuser to enjoy the scent of incense without having to light it.

It is advised to never leave an incense burning unattended and to supervise the incense at all times while in use. Incense sticks are made of highly flammable materials, so it's important to take precautions when burning them; never store incense near flammable objects and use an incense appropriate holder to capture the ash. Use in a ventilated area only; these objects can create dangerous fumes when burned and can potentially cause a fire.  Avoid burning around alcohol, hairspray, aerosols, and anything else with a high-alcohol or petroleum content.
